Illinois House of Representatives Acknowledges Max
Max's award from the Illinois House of Representatives
On March 15, 2006 in Springfield, Illinois, (3 days after tornadoes ripped through the Springfield area), Max Harrison was honored at the ALS Advocacy Day held at the Capitol.
Max and his sister, Christina, went to meet with Senator Deanna Denuzo and Representative Gary Hanning on behalf of ALS-A.
During Max’s meeting with Representative Gary Hanning, he was presented with an award from the Illinois House of Representatives for his “unselfish advocation of ALS awareness, education and fund raising”.
Max was not one to enjoy the spot light and tended to shy away from it. However, this award was long over due and very well deserved.
